USB cables are used everywhere. Whether it is the task of transferring some sort of data (could be loading the program into the microcontroller boards), charging the devices or programming (USB debugging is a very common usage), USB cables come into play. A USB cable consists of two ends, both equipped with a connector (port) which is connected to the defined port size and then used for carrying our data transfer or charging tasks. There are various types of USB ports that we use from the electronics point of view:-
1. USB Type A
2. USB Type B
3. USB mini
4. USB micro
5. USB Type C

How to use

Using a USB cable is just as simple as connecting both ends of the cable to the required devices’ ports.

Common Applications

1. Used for charging devices when one end is connected to a power adapter.
2. Used for transferring data between devices or boards.

Safety Measures to follow

1. Always make sure to not be in contact with the main supply.
2. Don’t twist the cable beyond its limit
